Does Viramune cause flare-up of chronic hepatits C?

I don't really know how to start with this. So I will just write what is on my mind, I was diagnosed HIV positive in 1999, and I was immediately put on meds.

My doctor at the time first put me on Sustiva which made me have wacky dreams and then my dreams started to come to life, which I thought later must be impossible. I did crazy things like almost taking a knife to myself.

I was under a different doctor's care at that time than I am now. He suggested I get off that particular regime. I have been on 3 different regimes and have had 3 different doctors.

I now found out in October that I have chronic Hepatits C, and the doctors told me they believe the Viramune that I have been on for over 2 years is probaly the cause for the flare-up.

What I would like to know is how many people out there have had problems with there liver by taking this drug called Viramune?

I don't want to sound crazy but I believe that this drug is what is doing this to my liver. I had a biopsy done and have major damage to my liver. I wonder how many others have or are going through what I am.

Hepaitits C?

I thought Hep C was "diagnosed" with the PCR test. So how can anyone know if they have Hep C?

Yes, viramune can cause hepatitis (enlarged liver)

According to HIV and Hepatitis.org, Vramune can cause hepatitis.
